Our story
The seeds of Appleleaf Accountancy were planted back in January 2017.
Matthew had worked for a number of accountancy firms across Lincolnshire and kept seeing the same thing – client needs weren’t at the heart of what was being offered. He thought there had to be a better way.
So he set up on his own with a handful of clients and a simple idea: to deliver accounting services that are personal, comprehensive, and responsive. The kind of service business owners deserve.
And it worked. The business grew.
Fast forward to today, and we’re a team of
10 based in Grimsby. We’ve got qualified accountants, bookkeepers, tax specialists and a payroll manager. Which means we can offer the full service – we’re not just ‘doing the books’, we become part of your team.

We’re a “Chartered” firm. That’s important because literally anyone can call themselves an accountant, but the difference between someone who calls themselves an accountant and someone who has been through professional qualifications is huge.
